A Happy Ending.

Now, this is a little bit of a different blog post I'm doing today. Recently, a situation has particularly touched me deep down. So definitely not a typical beauty or lifestyle post!

For the past two weeks at my workplace, we have seen a little cat sleeping on the chairs under the smoking shelter. At first we thought she was just exploring, but we continually saw her every day and every night since. In the same spot, 24/7. A few of the staff, including myself, got very attached to this little cat and made it our mission to find her owner. We tried stroking her and she was extremely tame and trusting, telling us she must be someone's pet. I put up posters, announcements all over Facebook and nobody claimed her in weeks.

Since seeing her, we have all given her some water and been buying her some cat food as she is very frail. When I held her, I could feel her spine and bones were so prominent, being a pet owner this was especially heartbreaking. She had been missing for at least two-three weeks, so she must have been terrified and cold outside, especially as she's more than likely someones pet.

Yesterday, one of my fellow staff members agreed to adopt her. Meaning she is now safe in the warmth with food, love and care. He's getting her vet checked today ensuring she is in good health. Imagine her being outside alone on bonfire night last night with nowhere to go.

Imagine if we'd ignored her, what would have happened to her? Yesterday I found out I got a new job and yet this proved to make me even happier. As I have got particularly attached to her, I was so relieved and happy she was finally safe.

Recently, his little girl has named the cat Kiki and on her first night in her new home he woke up to her on the pillow next to him purring. Such a happy ending.
